Hello. This is the first update of this AAR. The next one will be the last. This is just a copy of what I posted in the "Post Your Victoria II Empire" thread, but I wanted more people to know about it. Also, here you will be able to see what I manage to do in the last 13 years of the game complete with a too big military score.
The game ended in 1923 after my military score literally rolled over. I was too powerful and passed a limit of sorts. I went from 126128 military score to -126128 score as soon as I reached that number. With that happening I was loosing my great power status and that ain't cool. However, I've decided to finish the damned game, even if it means I won't be a great power...
Anyways, as you can see almost 60% of my male adult population are soldiers. That's around 500 million soldiers doing their job at the same time. Biggest army to ever walk upon this world. As you can also see, the Yankees are being assimiliated back to britishness. My whole population is 3 G (Gillions? ) and I get around a million people each month. And a thing that I always couldn't understand is, why is my almost completely socialist population voting for the conservatives?
But enough about me. You can also see a Commie France that has strange borders, a Germany that looks suspiciously alike to the Third Reich if it won WW2 (But they're a liberal constitutional monarchy so don't worry.), a Soviet Union that got screwed by everyone on the planet and I think that's it. Italy isn't unified too. Austria fell apart too.
I'm spending so much on the military I have to be on 100% tarrifs and all stratas have 80% tax! I stopped even looking at my economy after I hit 1850. It was easier to conquer someone to get back to no. 1 than actually do something.
As for how. At the start I wanted to have an ordinary game as the United Kingdom. Then I decided to help Texas in their war of independence. I allied them and joined. Then I took Mexican Texas and New Mexico. After the peace was signed and before I could give those states to Texas, they asked the US to annex them. -_- So I decided to colonise Colorado and Oklahoma. Then I destroyed Mexico over and over to the point were I managed to get modern USA from them. Then the American Civil War started. CSA asked me to join them so I declared war on them and took as much as I could. Then it was USA against most of North America which was controlled by me. War was followed by war till I left them with just Maryland and D.C. . Turned out great because I got a great industry boost later from annexing them.
And after that, no one dared to declare war on me. I was so powerful no one decided to use the bb cassus belli. Then I just let my BB die with random wars here and there. I do believe I don't have any BB now, as the game got awfully slow (One day took about a second to pass on the fastest speed! I know it sounds stupid when you read it, but it's really bad.)
I just took whatever I wanted and no one could stop me, controlling North America really helps. I am the greatest empire ever. And soon you'll see the Grand Finale.

This was my first ever Victoria II game. I haven't played the demo.
